Stake ATOM Using Ledger Live
Our Passion for the Cosmos Ecosystem
We are deeply passionate about the Interchain, dedicating ourselves to supporting its infrastructure. We show our commitment through running validators for Kava, Nomic, Band, Seda, and serving as a governor for Stride.
Securing a position in the active set of ATOM validators has been a long-held aspiration.
Uncovering Validator Misconduct
In October 2024, we discovered a significant breach of trust within the Cosmos Hub validator community. One prominent ATOM validator, Melea, is misleading delegators by claiming a 0% commission rate, despite the Cosmos Hub’s minimum validator commission being coded at 5%. Our investigation of on-chain transactions revealed no evidence of rebates to delegators.
The situation escalated when Melea not only dismissed our verification efforts but also resorted to threats. Further details of this case can be found in the Cosmos forum discussions.
Our Commitment to Transparency
We are driven by an unwavering commitment to honesty and integrity. We view our delegators as partners, not strangers to take advantage of. In the spirit of addressing Melea’s unfulfilled promise, we are now offering a genuine 0% commission staking service through 2025 and beyond.
The Path Forward
To achieve our goal, we must climb from the inactive to the active ATOM validator set. This journey requires:
– ATOM delegations and redelegations
– Collaborative effort with dedicated delegators, like you
Call to Action
We invite you to join our mission. Our comprehensive ATOM staking tutorial will guide you through:
– Staking using Ledger Live
– Switching validators
– Redelegating to our validator while we are in the inactive set
Together, we can build a more transparent and trustworthy Cosmos ecosystem.

2. If a popup appears, click “Continue.” (screenshot below)
3. Click the “Show all” dropdown from the window that pops up. Wallet providers list their own validators first, so they get large and dominate the networks they support. The same is true of centralized exchanges and large validator nodes that dominate voting power are terrible for network security. (screenshots below)
So please, DO NOT STAKE with wallet provider validators, centralized exchange validators, or the largest validators on ANY network.
4. Type “Atlas Staking” in the validator search box. (screenshot below)
5. Click the Atlas Staking name and logo, making sure a checkmark appears and then click “Continue.” (screenshots below)
6. Enter the number of ATOM tokens you would like to stake with us. (screenshots below)
Remember, to receive our commission rebate in 2025 you must stake 10 or more ATOM with us. To qualify for one of our multi-year commission rebate inscriptions/NFTs you must stake 1000 or more ATOM with us.

6. Click “Atlas Staking.” (screenshot below)

Click “Close” and you will be taken back to your ATOM position page where you will see Atlas Staking listed as your validator.
You can easily manage your ATOM delegation directly through the Ledger Live interface. We hope this step-by-step ATOM staking guide has shown you how simple it is.
It’s unfortunate that the Melea validator has acted dishonestly and misled its delegators. We truly value your support in helping us secure a spot in the active set of Cosmos Hub validators. The crypto space can be filled with bad actors, and the Cosmos Hub should enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy to safeguard its community.
Keep in mind, the sooner we enter the active set, the sooner you’ll start earning those ATOM staking rewards. So, don’t forget to spread the word about our 0% commission offer on your social media!
We sincerely appreciate you staking with us!

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the reward for staking ATOM?
As of December 10, 2024 the ATOM staking yield is a juicy 16.4% before validator commission. However, staking yield constantly changes so be sure to check the Cosmos Hub page on mintscan for current APY.
Are there risks associated with staking ATOM?
While staking ATOM is one of the safest ways to generate yield on your crypto, it’s not without risk. If your validator goes offline for too long they are slashed 0.01% of all the tokens on the node, but that’s usually no big deal.
If your validator double signs a block by mismanaging their keys or by being dishonest, the slash is 5% of all tokens staked on the node and that includes yours. That validator is also permanently removed from the set of validators.
The best place to stake ATOM tokens
The worst place to stake ATOM is with a CEX, like Coinbase. Commissions are high and it’s often difficult to withdraw your tokens.
The best place to stake ATOM is from a noncustodial wallet, like Ledger, Keplr, Leap or Cosmostation. Three of those wallets will allow you to claim airdrops too.
What is redelegating?
Redelegating is moving your staked tokens from one validator to another without unbonding or unstaking. Hopefully this tutorial showed you exactly how to do that. It’s important to remember though, that you can only switch validators once every 3 weeks.
